- Cookie or similar technology identifiers, security logs, login and account activity, and information reasonably required to detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or technical problems.
MSL does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless it is reasonably required for a specific account, verification, payment, security, legal, or support purpose. Participants should not upload unnecessary sensitive personal information into Locker descriptions, photographs, listings, messages, or other public-facing areas.
You may be able to choose whether your Locker is private, publicly visible for showcase purposes, or enabled for applicable marketplace or commerce features where those features are available. Information you choose to make public may be visible to visitors, search engines, and other participants.
- Private Locker: intended to be visible only to you and to authorized MSL personnel where access is reasonably required for support, security, maintenance, legal, or administrative purposes.
- Public Showcase Locker: displays collection information publicly but does not necessarily offer items for sale or transaction.
- Public Marketplace Locker: where marketplace or commerce features are enabled, may display listings, prices, seller information, transaction-related details, and other information needed to support an applicable transaction.
Do not upload confidential, financial, health, identity-document, account-security, or other highly sensitive personal information to any public-facing Locker, listing, description, photograph, message, or other public area unless disclosure is necessary and appropriate.

MSL may also use information to enforce the Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, Marketplace Rules, applicable Locker requirements, and other MSL policies, and to protect participants, accounts, systems, property, funds, and legal rights.
MSL may send service and administrative communications reasonably required to operate, secure, support, or manage your account or Locker. These may include security notices, account or Locker updates, support messages, transaction or payout notices where applicable, billing or payment notices, policy changes, verification requests, and other important operational communications.
Promotional or marketing communications will be sent only where permitted and with any consent required by applicable law.
You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe option provided in the message or another available preference setting. Unsubscribing from promotional communications does not prevent MSL from sending essential service, security, billing, transaction, policy, legal, or account-related communications where reasonably necessary.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
- Access controls, account authentication, and appropriate permission restrictions.
- Secure transmission methods where supported and appropriate.
- Monitoring, logging, and review for suspicious, abusive, or unauthorized activity.
- Restricted staff, contractor, and service-provider access based on legitimate operational need.
- Backups, maintenance, software updates, and other reasonable security practices.
No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Account holders are responsible for protecting their passwords, devices, authentication methods, and account access, and should contact MSL promptly if unauthorized activity or a suspected security incident is discovered.
MSL may take reasonable steps to investigate suspected security incidents, restrict affected access, preserve relevant records, and provide notices where required by law or reasonably appropriate.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited personal information where reasonably necessary with:
- Service providers that support hosting, email, analytics, security, fraud prevention, customer support, payment processing, shipping, communications, backups, maintenance, or other platform operations.
- Where marketplace, trading, or commerce features are used, buyers, sellers, Locker Owners, shipping parties, payment providers, or other transaction participants where information is reasonably required to complete, support, verify, or resolve the transaction.
- Professional advisers such as accountants, insurers, auditors, consultants, and legal counsel where reasonably necessary.
- Government authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other authorized parties where required or permitted by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect people, accounts, property, funds, systems, or legal rights.
- A prospective or completed purchaser, investor, lender, successor, affiliate, or other organization involved in a corporate financing, restructuring, merger, acquisition, sale, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy safeguards.
MSL seeks to limit shared personal information to what is reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose and expects service providers handling personal information on MSL’s behalf to use appropriate safeguards and to process that information only for authorized purposes.
Some service providers may process or store information outside Ontario or outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
MSL may use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, maintain account and platform security, support essential website functions, measure performance, diagnose technical issues, and understand how visitors and participants use the website and platform.
Some cookies are necessary for the website and account features to function. Other cookies or similar technologies may support analytics, preferences, or other optional functions where applicable.
You may be able to limit or block certain cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent some account, Locker, security, marketplace, or other platform features from working properly.
MSL is not primarily directed to children. Account creation, Locker ownership, marketplace activity, and other features involving agreements or financial responsibilities are intended for individuals who are legally able to use those features or who have appropriate parent or legal guardian involvement.
Where a child or youth is permitted to use any part of the MSL platform, MSL will seek consent appropriate to the individual’s age, maturity, the sensitivity of the information, and the nature of the activity. Parental or legal guardian consent will be required where the individual is not able to provide meaningful consent, including for children under 13 except in exceptional circumstances permitted by law.
Parents or legal guardians who believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization should contact MSL. Where reasonably appropriate, MSL may restrict access, remove or correct information, obtain appropriate consent, or take other protective steps.
MSL will seek to limit the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of children’s personal information to what is reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information MSL holds about you, ask that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, or request deletion or de-identification of personal information that is no longer reasonably required.
MSL may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request and may require enough information to locate the relevant records.
Certain information may need to be retained despite a request for deletion or withdrawal of consent where reasonably required for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, dispute-resolution, record-keeping, backup, or other legitimate operational purposes.
Where a request cannot be fully completed, MSL may explain the applicable limitation where reasonably permitted and required.
You may also contact MSL with questions or concerns about how your personal information is handled and may challenge MSL’s compliance with this Privacy Policy or applicable privacy law.
Where a Locker Owner is considered for or receives MSL Leadership Locker Owner status or another form of special recognition, MSL may collect and use information reasonably relevant to that recognition, such as collecting experience, platform participation, contributions, leadership activity, feedback, areas of knowledge, and willingness to support the MSL community.
Where the individual agrees to public recognition, MSL may display appropriate recognition-related information such as the person’s name, Locker name, biography, photograph, collection information, recognition title or badge, and other approved profile content. Public recognition will be limited to information MSL is authorized to display.
Recognition-related information does not change the individual’s privacy rights under this Policy. A recognized participant may contact MSL to request reasonable updates to, or removal of, optional public recognition content, subject to legitimate historical, administrative, legal, or record-keeping requirements.
Participants are responsible for the accuracy, legality, appropriateness, and privacy of information they choose to publish or make public through MSL. Public Locker content, descriptions, photographs, comments, listings, profile details, and other publicly visible information may be viewed, copied, indexed, cached, or shared by others outside MSL’s control.
- Do not publish another person’s personal or sensitive information without appropriate permission or other lawful authority.
- Do not include payment-card details, passwords, authentication codes, government identification numbers, private addresses, health information, financial records, or other highly sensitive personal information in public Lockers, listings, photographs, descriptions, comments, profiles, or messages.
- Where MSL marketplace or transaction features are enabled, use the applicable approved communication, payment, shipping, and transaction processes where required.
Before making content public, participants should review photographs and descriptions for unintended personal information, documents, labels, addresses, account details, or other sensitive material visible in the background or image.
MSL retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy, including account and Locker administration, support, applicable transaction records, billing, legal and tax obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backup integrity, and other legitimate operational requirements.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, MSL will seek to securely delete, destroy, or de-identify it, subject to applicable legal, accounting, tax, security, backup, dispute, and record-retention requirements.
For cancelled Locker accounts, MSL may retain applicable account and Locker information for up to 60 additional days to support reasonable reactivation, recovery, administrative processing, or transition, unless a longer or shorter period is reasonably required by law, security, privacy, backup, dispute, tax, accounting, or other legitimate operational requirements.
After the applicable retention period, information that is no longer reasonably required may be securely deleted, destroyed, or de-identified. Information may remain for a limited period in protected backups or archival systems until those records are securely overwritten or retired through normal retention processes.
MSL and its service providers may process or store personal information in Canada or in other jurisdictions where service providers operate. When information is processed or stored outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of that jurisdiction. MSL remains responsible for using reasonable contractual, administrative, and technical safeguards appropriate to information handled on its behalf.
MSL may provide links to or integrate with third-party websites, services, payment processors, shipping providers, communications tools, social platforms, analytics providers, or other external services. Those third parties may have their own privacy policies, terms, and security practices.
Where you choose to interact directly with a third-party service, the information you provide to that third party is generally governed by that provider’s own policies and practices. MSL encourages participants to review the applicable privacy and service terms before providing personal information.
Where a third-party service provider processes personal information on MSL’s behalf, MSL will seek to use reasonable contractual, administrative, and technical safeguards appropriate to the service and information involved.
MSL is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of external websites or services that are not operated or controlled by MSL.
MSL may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, regulatory guidance, platform features, services, security practices, technology, service providers, business operations, or privacy practices.
When this Privacy Policy is revised, MSL will publish the updated version and identify the applicable revision or effective date.
Where a material change significantly affects how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, retained, or protected, MSL may provide additional notice through the website, account communications, email, or another appropriate channel.
Where required by law, MSL may seek renewed or additional consent before applying a material change to affected personal information.
